Photo: VNA Speaking at the forum, Deputy PM Phuc initiated that the Central Coast holds a crucial strategic position in the country, like a gateway to the East Sea for trading with other regions in the world. He asked each locality, scientist and business present at the forum to analyze potential and advantages of the region as well as difficulties and challenges in its socio-economic development and marine economic development. The Deputy PM asked for feasible policies and solutions to mobilize finance in accordance with specific action plans and the creation of financial institutions and recommendations. He called on businesses, development partners, organizations, agencies and scientists to support localities in the region through investment, experience, financial support, technology transfer and human resource training. At the forum, the campaign board on establishing a fund for offshore fishermen made its debut, aiming to supporting individuals and households in the region to head for and hold on sea to protect the national sovereignty and security.
