Video of this weekends meet! IPA Nationals in York, PA This meet was full of milestones. -Im back in the 123lb class again since having Colleen (9.5 months postpartum and down 50lbs). I competed in the 132s in June and have been training in a caloric deficit since then to drop a class for this meet. (nutrition by Jen Case of Renaissance Periodization) -This is the first weight cut where I barely had to cut water to make weight. I coasted easily right into this weight class. -I got a lifetime personal best in every lift. -Squatted double bodyweight (and opened with my third squat attempt from June) -Its the first meet where I didnt fail a single attempt (got red lighted for depth on my 2nd squat, but I completed the rep easily). Went 8/9 on the day. -Totaled over 700lbs (Ended with an elite total, qualifies me for the Arnold) -Won Best Overall Female in the Pro Raw Division. Final results- 245 squat, 150 bench, 340 deadlift and 735 total at 121.5lbs bodyweight. Thank you, first and foremost, to my husband/coach/biggest fan, Jake Welch. To my in-laws, for keeping Colleen while Jake and I compete and taking such good care of her. Thank you, Dustin and Josh, for the critiques with all of my lifts to help me improve my technique. To the rest of the Silo guys for the support in the gym, especially while Jake is away, and for hanging out/playing peekaboo with Colleen every day while we train :) And thank you to everyone who has sent messages of congratulations and well wishes. Powerlifting is often a misunderstood sport and a lot of people dont get it, so I appreciate each and every one of you in my cheering section ;)
