Visitor statistics update: July is peak summer season in Longyearbyen and almost 50% of our visitors arrive in July. As in June most visitors are from the UK. Second is the collective group US + NZ + Australia. A decrease in German visitors has to do with the number of ships carrying German passengers, obviously. Only 19 % of the visitors came from Scandinavia, with a new all time low from Norway at 11%. Of special interest is the increasing number of visitors (and interest) from Romania, the Baltic states, Poland and Finland.
