Vivaldi, “The Four Seasons” at Pacem in Terris On Sunday, June 22nd, come join us for a summer solstice celebration, rain or shine at Pacem in Terris. Because of the popularity of this piece in the classical music repertoire and our limited seating, we are offering two performances. At 2 PM and 5 PM, “The Four Seasons”, a set of four violin concertos composed by Antonio Vivaldi in 1723, will be performed by an extraordinary group of musicians, all Friends of Pacem in Terris: Krista Bennion Feeney (violin), whose performance with the St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble at the Morgan Library and Museum was recently (May 15th) extolled as possessing a “tender exuberance” in the New York Times, will play all the concertos, accompanied by Anca Nicolau and Keats Dieffenbach (violins), David Cerutti (viola), Myron Lutzke (cello), John Feeney (bass), Gregory Hayes (organ). The sonnets (also perhaps written by Vivaldi) which accompany each concerto will be read prior to each concerto and paired with their corresponding themes by Bennion-Feeney. Join us at 96 Covered Bridge Road, Warwick, NY for this extraordinary baroque event, at either the 2 PM or the 5 PM performance. Come early, as there is limited seating. Tickets go on sale one hour before each concert. Suggested donation is $15.00. Call 845-986-4329 or visit frederickfranck.org for further information. Pacem in Terris is a not-for-profit organization under the Education Laws of the State of New York,
