Volunteer Vacancy We are currently taking applicants for the Peel Zoo Volunteer Enrichment Team. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and enthusiastic people to contribute to the care and welfare of our wide range of Australian native fauna. The Enrichment Team plays an integral role in engaging and enriching the lives of the animals at the zoo. The team is responsible for all aspects of the enrichment our animals receive on a daily basis. This includes making the enrichment, providing it to our animals, and assessing its effectiveness as an enrichment item. The program doesn’t just benefit the animals; successful applicants will get the opportunity to volunteer alongside our dedicated and professional staff and to interact with a large variety of animals including Tasmanian devils, dingoes, foxes, echidnas, cockatoos, and many more. For the right person, this program will provide an unparalleled opportunity to learn more about our incredible animals as well as to improve and hone their professional animal husbandry skills. We expect the same standards of work, professionalism, and commitment from our volunteers as we do our paid staff. Volunteer intakes are held four times a year and positions are strictly limited.
