Volunteering opportunity for the elections on 30th April Dear All, This is to confirm your participation in webcasting and thanks for your response. All volunteers are required to help with Web Casting only (not Micro Observing or Video Graphing). They will take their laptops and transmit the video using webcam and internet provided by the election commission. The location details of Voting booth would be shared one day in advance i.e., 29-Apr-2014. All venues to be in and around the City limits. A mock session will be planned for 29-Apr. Software will be installed for webcam. Details of the same would be shared soon. Laptop should be handed over the night before at the booth(29th). Laptops security is guaranteed. If Webcam is not available on the laptop, government will provide it. Car/Bike parking would be available at the voting venues Cell phones should not be used inside the Voting booths The allotted polling booth will be outside the constituency of the Voter. e.g., if you are part of Kukatpally constituency, you may be given Patancheru or other assembly polling booth. Volunteers are expected to provide details like email address, mobile#, Voter ID details etc. (see attached form)Postal ballot would be made available to all the volunteers (in RR district and HYD district) so that they can cast their vote without visiting the physical voting booths If people have vote in Seemandhra region, there is no issue as the polling is in the first week of May. Every volunteer is expected to arrive at their respective venues at 6am and stay till 6pm on 30-Apr-2014 (beyond 6pm if there are voters) Volunteers should be present by 6 am by their own transport. You can explore car-pooling. Tea/coffee and food will be provided Volunteers would receive a Participation certificate and Rs500/- as a token of appreciation for their efforts.
