WEATHER UPDATE: Issued at 5:00 a.m., 12 September 2014 Valid beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow Synopsis: At 4:00 AM today, Tropical Depression LUIS was estimated based on all available data at 1,050 km East of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0ºN, 135.0ºE) with maximum winds of 45 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 30 kph. Forecast: Visayas, Mindanao and Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to west will prevail over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from southwest to south with slight to moderate seas.
