WEDNESDAYS WORD 7/3/13 THE LORD IS EVERYTHING ‘YOU’ NEED!!! And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ “ (Exodus 3:14) Today, I would just like for you to take whatever the circumstances or situations are that are looming over you right now, no matter what they are or how BIG they are, and tell them or it about your God and HOW GREAT, POWERFUL AND MAGNIFICENT…… HE IS. We need to understand that our God, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, specializes in the IMPOSSIBLE and HE CAN DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING BUT FAIL!!! CONTINUE TO BELIEVE AND OBEY NO MATTER HOW IT MIGHT LOOK BECAUSE THE LORD ‘IS’ AND ‘HAS’ EVERYTHING YOU NEED!!! As we read here in Exodus 3:14, Moses is concerned about going to the children of Israel and telling them who sent him to bring them out of slavery. Remember, Moses had a speech impediment, was a murderer and was only a keeper of the flock of his father in law, Jethro. CASE IN POINT; DON’T LOOK AT YOURSELF BUT, STAY FOCUSED ON GOD THROUGH JESUS!!! Moses says in verse 13, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” v.14, And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.’ “ Now at this very moment Moses is having this conversation with a burning bush with God speaking out of it and if that were not enough, a people who had been in slavery for over some 400 years, God is sending someone with a speech impediment who was once wanted for murder to help bring them out. REMEMBER, KEEP LOOKING TO GOD!! Let’s take a look at the fact of who God told Moses to tell the children of Israel His name was. He told Moses to tell them, “I AM WHO I AM,” sent him. That right there tells us a lot. God can be anything He wants to be and can do anything He wants to do. He is not limited at all, not even by His name. This passage of scripture goes to show us that there is no reason for us to limit Him either. We are not to focus on the problem/s, just the Problem Solver. He told Moses to tell them “I AM” sent him to them. That in turn means, I AM YOUR HEALER, I AM THAT FINANCIAL BLESSING YOU NEED, I AM YOUR PEACE IN THE TIME OF A STORM, I AM A WAY MADE OUT OF NO WAY, I AM A FRIEND THAT STICKS CLOSER THAN ANY BROTHER, I AM YOUR MOTHER AND YOUR FATHER, I AM YOUR HUSBAND AND YOUR WIFE, I AM THE ONE THAT LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY, “I AM WHO I AM!!!” Malachi 3:6a records God as saying “For I am the Lord, I do not change.” So we know that if He was “I AM” then, He is “I AM” now and also with that knowledge we are to understand three things from today’s word. 1. It doesn’t matter what it looks like or HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN, your change is coming; 2. God is any and everything you need Him to be in every situation and/or circumstance, just call on Him and NEVER LET HIS UNCHANGING HAND GO; 3. He will use who/whatever He wants to use to get the message and His word to His people, He might even use YOU. As we go throughout this day as well as this life we live, let us continue to remember who God told Moses to tell the children of Israel who sent him, “I AM WHO I AM.” By far, this has to be one of the Greatest names attributed to our God! “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Revelations 22:13) dt
