WEEKEND ARRESTS CDS ARRESTS On 10/24/14 at approximately 8:50 p.m., a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputy initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near South Street for an equipment violation. An FCSO K9 conducted a scan of the vehicle for controlled dangerous substances (CDS). The K9 alerted to the presence of CDS in the vehicle. The investigation led to the driver and passenger being charged with possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charged were: - Kevin Kinsey, age 34, of Silver City VA - Matthew Bassford, age 24, of Winchester VA On 10/25/14 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a deputy on patrol observed a car on Stauffer Rd with an inoperable stop light, a safety equipment violation. When the deputy spoke with the driver he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the car. Investigation led to the seizure of a container of marijuana. Both occupants of the car were charged on criminal citations with possession of marijuana over 10 grams. Charged were: - Sergey Errigo, age 19, of Frederick. - Nicklaus Kramer, age 35, of Walkersville. On 10/26/14 at approximately 11:51 p.m., a deputy on Route 26 at Dance Hall Road in Frederick, initiated a traffic stop for a traffic violation. A K9 scan determined an odor of CDS to be present in the vehicle. Charged was: - Cody Worley, age 20 of Walkersville, on charges of possession of heroin. In addition, two other incidents, a traffic stop and a neighbor complaint, led to civil citations being issued to two Frederick residents for possession of marijuana less than 10 grams. THEFT ARRESTS On 10/25/14, deputies responded to Wal-Mart on Guilford Drive for a theft investigation. Wal-Mart employees had identified two shoplifters. Deputies responded, and the investigation revealed that, in addition to shoplifting, both suspects were also trespassing. They had previously been issued Trespass Notices for that store. Charged were: - Isaiah Shern, age 24, of Frederick was charged on criminal citations with theft less than $100 and trespassing. - Ashley Fisher, age 21, of Frederick, was charged on criminal citations with theft under $100 and trespassing. Fisher was also arrested on a Frederick County warrant. On 10/26/14, deputies responded to Macy’s at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick for a theft investigation. Macy employees indentified a shoplifter: - Kareem Gaddy-Bright, age 19 of Frederick, was charged with a criminal citation for theft less than $1000. BURGLARY THEFT ARREST On 10/25/14, deputies responded to the 9200 block of Dublin Road for a theft and burglary report. A homeowner reported missing over $10,000 worth of jewelry. The deputy’s investigation led to the arrest of Steven Sipes, age 26, of Walkersville. Sipes was charged with burglary and theft over $10,000.
