WELL DONE OFFICERS.. NEWSDAY JUNE 30, 2 K 14 EMA cops find machine gun Monday, June 30 2014 .. POLICE officers accompanying colleagues from the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) went to a bar in Tunapuna yesterday morning to attend to a complaint of loud noise and discovered a machine gun. Two men were arrested. According to a police report, officers of the Northern Division Task Force accompanied their colleagues from the EMA to the bar along the Eastern Main Road at about 3 am. The report stated that upon arrival, police officers saw a man acting suspiciously while standing near a white Nissan Almera car. The vehicle, police said, was blocking the front entrance of the establishment. The report stated police officers searched the suspect and also conducted a search of the vehicle. They found hidden under the driver’s seat, an automatic machine gun. Police also conducted enquiries about the driver and arrested him as well. The report stated that police officers ordered the music turned off and closed the bar for the night. spacer
