WHAT HAS PETER OBI DONE TO EXPAND APGA??? Since Peter Obi decamped from APGA to PDP I have tried to be silence because he is a man I love and when you love someone you dont criticize them openly. However, Obi boo boys, sheerleaders and praise singers have been celebrating Obis betrayal as though it is a commendable move. I decided to set down this piece for us quickly analyse the Obi decamp saga and see how he has fared while a chieftain in APGA. If anyone benefited from APGA it was Peter Obi because APGA elevated Obi from a persona nongrata to a celebrity. APGA made Obi a fullfilled man and raised him from darkness of nobody to the light of the person that he is today. But Peter Obi left APGA in tatters and jumped the boat like a traitor and batrayer that he is. When Maxi Okwu was the interim Chairman of APGA everything was good and Okwu was working dilligently to win all party faithfuls that left the party and the move was rewarding. APGA held its convention at Awka and all was fine. At a point I was chatting with Chief Maxi Okwu that I want to be fully involved in APGA programes. But then a court judgement that reinstalled Chief Victor Umeh was given and suddenly Peter Obi turned his back on the Maxi Okwu faction that was standing with him all the while. I expected him to root for reconciliation but as a selfish politician that was not his concern since it never stand against his ambition. Obi is selfish! On the Fashola deportation saga, what has Obi done for those deported if not that he used them score some cheap political points. How many strong politician did Obi woo to join APGA? None! What did Obi do for Ojukwu when was alive save that he has to drag the ailing man out of his rest to use him for his second tenure campaign? He was very active during Ojukwus death at UK and his burial but what has he done for Ikemba when he was alive? That is the man on whose back he rode to victory. Prof Akunyili resigned her ministerial appointment. Not sacked!!! And she joined Obi in APGA. Her near success in 2011 election was as result of her personal achievement as NAFDAC director and as Min of Information. Obi never helped Akunyili during the election and she was neglected after her loss only for him appear as St Peter Obi during her sickness. Obi is a big disappointment to APGA, to Ndi Igbo and to those close to him and let the truth be told to shame the devil.
