WHAT IS YOUR BENCHMARK FOR THE GOOD LIFE? One of the reasons many - TopicsExpress

WHAT IS YOUR BENCHMARK FOR THE GOOD LIFE? One of the reasons many believers have lukewarm attitude to dealing with the issues (like curses) that hinder them from living the supernatural life is their very low benchmark for the GOOD LIFE. Yet Jesus said they would manifest the supernatural life more than He did (John 14:12)! When a man is able to achieve some level of comfort for his family he is contented even though he continues to struggle against other problems-marital tension, problematic children, afflictions, fear, depression, emotional instability and evil habits among others. You are not here on the earth just to make a living. You are here to be Gods channel of blessing to the world - to make global impact in your field. Addressing such people who are at this false ease today, Jesus said: You say, I am rich, I have acquired wealth, and do not need a thing. But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked (Rev.3:17NIV). They are blind because they cant see the boundless, fathomless, incalculable and exhaustless blessing inheritance that God has prepared for them to be a blessing to the world (1Cor.2:9; Eph.3:8AMP). But it is for those who love Him. Those who do not love Him have inadvertently chosen the curse and its effects (1Cor.16:22NIV). What does it mean to love God at the frequency of accessing this exhaustless blessing inheritance? The love of Peter for Jesus was not in doubt. Otherwise he would not have abandoned his fishing business to follow a younger, strange itenerant preacher for over 3years; he would not have cut off the ear of one of those who came to arrest jesus. Nevertheless, at the time that his love for Christ mattered most, he denied Him before a mere house-maid! Then he went back to his fishing business after Christs death. When he forsook all to follow Jesus, he didnt burn the bridge on which he crossed to follow Him. His love for Christ didnt reach the mark. The litmus test for your love for God is, ...loving him more than these... without turning back (John 21:15). It is unreservedly loving Him more than your father, mother, husband, wife, children, brothers, sisters, possessions and in deed yourself (Mark 10:28-30). DO YOU? The tuth is, like Peter, you cant without the help of God. That help came for Peter on the day of Pentecost through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit perfected his consecration to God-a process that commenced about three and a half years earlier. To love the Lord to the point of accessing the inexhaustible blessing inheritance that will enable you do greater works than Jesus did and impact your world God will of necessity CONSECRATE you to Himself. He is not a God of half measures. He is either Lord of all or Lord of none. If anyone does not love the Lord-a curse be on him... (1Cor.16:22NIV).
