WHAT SMS PARENTS NEED TO KNOW FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!! Special opening ceremony September 4th As our children begin their first day of school at Syringa, the teachers have created a special ceremony in which our oldest class, our 5th grade students, will formally welcome our first grade students to the beginning of their education journey. The ceremony will be held from about 8:00 to 8:20 AM for all our children to witness. Because space and parking is limited, our 1st and 5th grade parents are welcomed to attend but please come prepared for sitting on the floor-no chairs. We promise to get photos for those of you who are unable to attend. Drop off and pick up instructions: Kindergarten students will enter at the front of the school into the Magic Forest to meet their teachers. Grades students will enter SMS by the side entrance to drop off their things and then may go out onto the playground until the bell rings. We want to be sure our new neighbors are not delayed as they arrive at work on Tuesday and that our children arrive safely. Please study the map below that Mr. Miles has made for us. If at all possible, bike, carpool, walk or bus to school to reduce our carbon footprint and traffic jams!
