WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU BOUGHT AND READ TWO ENTIRE NOVELS IN ONE - TopicsExpress

WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU BOUGHT AND READ TWO ENTIRE NOVELS IN ONE MONTH? Amazon released this statistic to book publishers this morning: As of June 18, 2014 our library of physical books surpassed twelve million separate titles. More books have been published in the past three years, than the combined, complete history of the written word. Fewer than one half of one percent of all published books ever sell one hundred copies. Even big name novels from Alec Baldwin (13,000 copies September 2008) and Schwarzeneggers (27,000 copies; 21,000 of them in the first week) failed. The industry is changing and few booksellers are surviving, and if only one half of one percent of every author only sells one hundred copies, can you imagine the statistics for those selling higher counts.
