WHITBY - DOES IT HAVE TO BE EXPENSIVE ?? Personally I dont mind paying the extra 20p a pint in the nicer pubs with better views and atmosphere, but I also dont mind the odder cheaper pint now and again. I love a half Breakfast in Java, its a classy place, bit of culture and awesome staff but I also dont mind finding a cheaper bacon butty from time to time as well. For the moaning cheapskates who continually complain about Whitby prices, can we have a few suggestions of local bargains for them. Ill start with : 1. A Pint in the Fishermans Club. Most of the clientelle are on their last legs or dead, but its half the price of anywhere else in town. 2. Also a bacon Sarnie from Ruswarp Butchers, Just over a quid last time I checked. 3. Breakfast in The Singing Kettle. Same price as most cafes across the UK, also you get free toast etc with a bacon sandwich. Cup of coffee just over a quid. 4. Pie And Mash £6 at Humble Pie And Mash (Simply Awesome Value). Its not bargain besement, its quality at a fair price. 5. I hate to recommend Weatherspoons as I prefer local businesses, but they have an extensive menu and all very cheap. Fish and chips and a drink on Fridays is £5
