WHO ARE THEY? They are men of pity As they believed in one Deity And preached with unity That shows their dignity They love death to living As they are prepared even in the evening To standby the most be loving To convey the words of the most Forgiving Their lives they sacrificed selflessly Even though they walked on the earth shyly But they treated folks equally Even though they are treated poorly They put the actions before the words Even if they are to use the swords To cut down the false lords That are glorified in the cords Among them are men who fulfilled their promises Others are zealous to reach the premises To fight the evil masses As it is a command from the verses They forfeited their blood and wealth to raise this emblem From Badr to Uhud, Khandaq among others with one anthem With a message as their beam To confront the idolaters for them to deem They spent their nights in “sujood” Just to earn the face of “Rabul Wujood” They conquered all this wood Without drink or sufficient food But they love the Messenger to their parents As others slain even their parents They are like the stars that guide the itinerants As they fought against the tyrants Among them four are the most profound Even though many are on the ground But they were selected and bound To be the “Khulafai Rashideen” and most sound For they have pleased Allah And so are they by Allah As they are perfectly chosen by the one “ilah” To be the companions of His “Rasullulah” Poet: Marabi S. Hydara
