WHY DID CSU-LHS LOSE? Before I could say anything, I would like - TopicsExpress

WHY DID CSU-LHS LOSE? Before I could say anything, I would like to say that I am worried about what justifies an inference like this. But beforehand, I have chosen this. I have chosen to use some part of my logic. I am writing this not to convince myself that my Alma Mater, St. Anthony’s Academy, justly nailed the championship title for this year’s cheer and dance competition. I am, far above subjectivity, writing this for the record how it brought the Cagayan State University to a losing end both on that moment and after. I have read one of the most distinguished cheerleading trainers in Cagayan said, “GASGAS na yang respect the decision of the judges. Sa mga TV nga masa ang nagdedesisyon.” He is right in one point. He respected the opinions and feelings of the people which constitute the fundamental element of democracy. But he is wrong in one point, he STILL disrespected the authority of the judges, which their presences give justice not only to the existence of the competition but also to the mindset that in every competition, there are losers and winners. Nobody could ever say they judged well better than any other eye. More, you cannot say you are even more right when at first, you derived your own conclusion from their feelings. It is even more fatal to say you could talkback greater arguments of technicalities when your mere bases are the complaints which at a point arises your nerves to talk. This is the sad story. I, myself watched the competition LIVE. I did not watch it online, not even in television. And my judgment was even with the judges, in some part. I even doubted how come I easily accepted that SAAG won the best costume when at first I thought LAHASA has the best costume? Yes, it could be my subjectivity that drove me. But never will I forget the existence of the judges’ rationalities. I agree that LAHASA danced better. I agree that LAHASA cheered better. I agree that LAHASA has better costume. I agree that LAHASA has better execution and stunts. And if LAHASA was proclaimed CHAMPION, that, I couldn’t agree more. I will never doubt that they won. But would these conceptions and perceptions have added to the decision of the judges? Would your judgments have considered in the final tally? Ladies and gentlemen, that is the reason why our loving LAHASA did not win. Because at that time, we are in no authority to technically announce that they are the BEST. But with all of these, as you believe that they should have won, let us all just put in our hearts, with no hatred. Your heart will just tell you quietly, they WON. And we could walk hand in hand again, peacefully. And to my Alma Mater, to God be the Glory.
