WHY LYING SUCKS - The main problem with lying is that if the person your lying to believes that you are lying, they automatically assume the worst. IE - In Saddams war of 1990, a couple of Englishmen tried to escape Iraq by car and accidentally drove in an Iraqi military base where they told the soldiers that they were site seeing. The soldiers didnt believe them so they assumed the worst; the Englishmen were spies. They put the Englishmen through a grueling experience by sending them from jail to jail. Eventually the court found them not guilty and they were set free. Lesson: It would be better for the Englishmen to have admitted their intentions and let the chips fall where they may. But by lying, they are not only pissing off the soldiers but the soldier AUTOMATICALLY assume that the Englishmen were covering up something very bad - spying. There was no mal-intent by the Englishmen trying to make a run for it and I believe they had better odds at a more desirable future by telling the truth.
