Most times when we are faced with challenges, we spend time complaining, rather than praying to God about it. The reason youre tempted to complain (rather than have faith) when there is delay in the breakthrough you desire in your finances, job or business, is because you have not heard God’s Word about it (Romans 10:17). The ultimate sign of humility is actually spending time with God in prayer instead of worrying about that health, financial, marital and academic problem. Observe the use of “casting” and not “cast” in the todays scripture. You may wonder why God doesnt just settle you permanently. God understands you. He knows you will always have needs. So He says, “casting”. This implies that God is committed to your needs on a daily basis. When God supplied the children of Israel with manner, He instructed them not to take portions for more than a day. You have to learn to consistently go to God each time you have needs. Cast your cares on God, following it up with thanksgiving. We sometimes get disspirited when we engage the Word and do not see results. One of the evidences of answered prayers is that things begin to go bad. This is an indication that the Word is working! (Exodus 5:1-7). Before the new will come, the old must die. Something must go for something better to come. Don’t be dispirited if you’re not seeing the change you’ve prayed for in your life. Keep applying pressure! When you worry, you open the door for the Devil! CONFESSION: The things that are working for me are more than those not working!
