WINNING LETTER FOR THE WEEK Return our Rufus Rufus, our very special cat, was born on September 23, 2012. He was rescued, at the age of two days, from a school building roof, hence his name Rufus. He was cold, wet and hungry, and so tiny that he had to be fed with a small syringe every two hours, cleaned and kept warm with a hot–water bottle and blankets. An alarm clock was used to simulate his missing mother’s heart–beat. He was a brave fighter and he survived. At four weeks of age, he progressed to a bottle and his growth continued. At six months he was neutered. Sadly, on April 30 2013, he disappeared from his home at 152 Hesketh Drive, Hayfields – but has been seen in Burns Road, Hayfields on a number of occasions. We, Ronald and Rose King, are pleading for his return. Have you seen Rufus? Can anyone help find him for us? His markings are very distinctive – pure white with a black right ear, a black spot under his chin, a black patch on his shoulders and a black tail. Please contact us at 033 396 5585 or 082 924 6106 if you see him. Ron and Rose King Via email
