WSU Warrior Marching Band Camp Schedule MONDAY, August 19th, 2013 9:00 am -Welcome new marchers and returning members! Review Handbook, instruments and forms. PMac/leaders as assigned 10:00 am - New marchers out to Practice Field to learn basics! Attention, moves, marching. (Vince and Mike) • Guard sectional—Brandon and Erica • Drum line sectional--Josh • Dance sectional--Jamilah • Vets uniforms—Lindsey and Jacob 11:00 am - LUNCH in Towers 12:30 pm - in Schaver Music Building • New members for uniforms—Lindsey and Jacob • Full band music rehearsal--PMac 1:30 -3:00 pm- Music Sectionals- location to be determined by section leaders (finish uniform fitting) 3:15 - 4:30 pm—practice field, Full Band, auxiliary and drum line/ with instruments, instrument carriage, parade moving 4:30 - 4:50 pm - BREAK for snacks. Not provided 5:00 - 6:00 pm - basics/attendance block TUESDAY, August 20th, 2013 Meet on the field at 9:00 am! - Basics block/work out and core building, PMac 9:30 -10:30 am- fundamentals full band (Vince and Mike with PMac) 10:30 -11:00 am – sectionals 11:00 am – LUNCH at Towers 12:30 -1:30 pm — Full ensemble music rehearsal in Schaver • Continue uniform fittings as needed 1:30 - 3:00 pm —Sectionals 3:15 - 4:30 pm -- Attendance Block at the Practice Field • Fundamentals review • Introduce pre-game 4:30 - 4:50 pm — BREAK 5:00 - 6:00 pm -- Full Ensemble, drill WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, August 21st-22nd Schedule is the same as Tuesdays. FRIDAY, August 23rd , 2013 Schedule remains the same with the following exceptions: • During sectional times, everyone must prepare for our formal picture. Polish instruments as necessary, change into full uniforms, guard and dance have pom-poms and flags ready. • At 3:15, be at the stadium ready to be seated/placed for our group picture. • Once group picture is taken, pending field availability, we will seat ourselves in the stands to rehearse game day protocol. • Once completed, and pending field availability, we will finish practice on the game field, with pre-game being the priority. • Members may quickly change into practice clothes BUT MUST NEATLY PUT UNIFORMS BACK INTO GARMENT BAGS AND HANG THEM OR LAY THEM FLAT SATURDAY, August 24th, 2013 9:00 am – Full Band Report to Practice Field *****Today is a bit different and the schedule will be announce during the last part of camp. We will finish early today. *****
