Walked by a guy selling The Big Issue and heard him saying dryly half under his breath please buy a copy so I can hurry up and go home and get out of your way just as I made eye contact and said Hi. (I already have this volume of the mag) I was already a fair way past him when my brain computed what he was saying. I checked my wallet, backtracked and gave him $20 and told him to sell a few more copies and that he was not in anyones way, it was nice to have him there. I was rewarded with the BIGGEST most gorgeous smile. Please understand this isnt to say how awesome I am - this is to highlight to you the value in simply SEEING people, look them in the eye and smile even if you cant stop or dont want what they are offering. Every single living thing deserves to feel like they count and that they arent in the way
