Walking up Aishas hallway and i spot this letter she has pinned to the wall... I start to read it and realise, it was ur korero to tautoko ur calendar a few years back. Im thinking, why have i not seen this before? lol Pooooturi. Ive heard you talk about Aunty Bessie and Uncle Shane, just a few anecdotes, and your fullas dynamics as tuakana - teina (incl Papa hoha Syd), but after reading that, it gave me a real sense of these two (and even Mummy n Pa) and who they are, and their TALENT! OMG!!! Ur kupu made me tear, literally, I am blessed to have had Bessie as a big sister and role model, she set the bar high. Not one that i will always attain, but one that i know exists, because she modelled it explicitly. That was such an awesome korero Mum, best read ive had for a long time. Thank you for sharing.
