Walter Horns store Rosevine, Texas 1927 Walter Tatum Horn (Feb. 14, 1886 - Oct. 27, 1951) owned the combination grocery store/service station located just south of the Rosevine School. The school building is visible in the background. Walter N. Dick Horn (July 4, 1923 - Aug. 19, 2006) is the boy at his daddys side. Their birthdays were easy to remember for family and friends. Both are buried in the Rosevine Cemetery, which is on the other side of the schoolground. Besides the two tall Visible gas pumps, there are two tanks (at right) for Coal Oil (Kerosene) and motor oil. The gauge stick, used to measure the gasoline level in the underground tanks, is propped up against the building.
