Want to know why I always seem so scattered? Here is a snapshot of my last couple of hours... Went to the parade. Marveled at the floats. Dodged the candy that was hurled to and fro. Headed to a friends house to let their dog out (since they are out of town) Giggled as Vance wrestled with the dog to get him to actually go out the door. Watched in horror as their stealth-like cat darted out the back door. Whipped out iPhone flashlights and chased said cat around the neighborhood. Prayed the neighbors wouldnt think we were robbers and call the cops. Hung my head in shame and headed home in defeat when we couldnt find the cat. Got home. Planned to go cat hunting in the morning. Feared that we would accidentally capture the wrong cat (since we really had no idea exactly what the cat looked like.) Realized that I had left my purse...somewhere. Headed back to friends house in hopes that we would find my purse. Located purse on counter at friends home. Cheered when my husband noticed the cat in the backyard. Devised a plan to coax the cat inside. Sat in the dark on friends couch with the backdoor oped. Waited. Waited. Waited. Cheered like a madwoman when the cat barreled through the door. Loudly sang WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS. High-fived my husband. Came home. Sat on couch and basked in our victory. Oddly, Im counting tonight as a win.
