Wanted to share a little story - Emma and I went to Church yesterday and were sitting there when the choir started to sing and she leans over and says “Momma I want to go up there and sing with them” ....I said “Well they have practiced together and you don’t know that song” ....a little while later a young man got up to play the guitar and three young ladies were singing with him – again Emma leans over and says “Momma I want to go up there and sing with them and again I say “Well they have practiced together and you don’t know that song”....so she says “Well when they finish can I go up and sing by myself” and I said well sure while looking at Bridget who was sitting beside of us (and her husband was the one playing the guitar) and thinking “yeah right that will be the end of that” ....well so they finish playing and singing and Emma looks at me and says “Can I go up there now” and I looked at Bridget and she said "I’ll take her up there"....So I was still thinking “yeah right...she will get up there and won’t do anything (even though generally she is not shy sometimes she can get that way). So Bridget gets up and leads her up to the front and announces to the Church “Emma has a song she wants to sing for us” and Emma goes up the steps and stands there on the “stage” and Jeremy comes over and hands her a microphone and she starts belting out “Jesus Loves Me” and it was spot on! Carried the tune, did not miss a beat! Needless to say I was bawling! The Church clapped and clapped for her when it was over! She came running back to me and just hugged and hugged me - she was so proud of herself but not nearly as proud as I was. She told me later yesterday evening “Thank You” and I asked for what and she said “ for listening to me sing at Church today, Jesus is happy with me” and I told her that he sure was! Needless to say I could not have been more proud of her and so many people talked to me after Church about her singing and how beautiful it was....so next week if she wants to go up with the Choir and sing then she can go even if she won’t know the words! She has a precious and pure heart for sure!
