Was on the train just now when the old lady sitting beside me told her husband that she need some help and was looking around. I happened to hear that so I turned to her direction wanting to see what is her problem and if theres any way I could help. Her face light up immediately when she saw me looking over. She asked if I could help her with her phone cos theres no sound when it rings. So I agreed and took over her phone to try figure out whats wrong. And teached her how to use it. Just as how I teached my grandma. In the end I chatted with the pair of elderly couple for 20 over minutes, all the way till they alight at their stop. Her husband said that she have bad memory so always have to call her sons or police to pick her up when she got lost. So he will try to accompany her whenever he can. Its just so heartwarming to see old couples taking care of each other, having each others company and grow old together♡ The old lady is so happy and delighted to have met me that before she alight, she took my hand, gave me a big tight hug and said Thank you, you are such a sweet girl. I love you. I cant help but smile. I guess I just made her day. Just as she made my day too((: Im glad Im able to be of help and its nice to receive such a warm hug after a long tiring day at work ^^ She even gave me her phone number so I gave her mine too and told her she can call me too if she happens to get lost and if her sons didnt pick up. Every one of us will grow old one day. Even though she might probably forget about me the next day or in the weeks to come, but I am just happy that I managed to helped her no matter how small, and at least make her day happier even just for that moment. Because one day when I grow old, become an old lady too myself, I might be yearning for someone to talk to, for someone to give up their seat for me or when in need of some help, I also wish that someone, some kind soul out there will give me a hand and reach out to me too(:
