Watching the aircraft take off from Sydney airport at the beach, Botany Bay on Federal election day, 7 September 2013. An extraordinary almost summer days (29 degrees Celsius) in early Spring :) Our grandchild is fascinated by all things aircraft and flight, including a very funny sit down temper tantrum in the Brisbane airport terminal once he realised he was no longer still on the aircraft. Time to head off to vote at the local church down the street and give thanks to the often much maligned Australian Electoral Commission (with their card board polling booths and blunt stubby pencils) who do so much make sure that the integrity of Australian elections is taken for granted.
