We all fell in love with #RobinWilliams growing up. So it was a thrill of a lifetime when I had the honor of interviewing him about 20 years ago. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Belly laughs, riotous laughs, Fall off my chair funny. And this was completely off the cuff. No script, no planned jokes. Just wild voices, stream of consciousness and insanely bizarre references. Weve all seen it on talk shows but its different in a room face to face. An audience of one. He put on a show for this young, no named interviewer because he obviously loved to make people laugh and give people joy. I feel so fortunate that I was able to experience a comic genius face to face, even for for ten fleeting minutes. I have never seen Robin since but I will appreciate that moment for as long as I live. Robin will be sorely missed by everyone who ever experienced him on a tv screen, in a movie theater or in person. What a tragic day for Hollywood and the entire world.
