We are all guilty of flicking a switch and getting light or heat or of turning on a tap and getting fresh water. But when something goes wrong and we are without for hours as we like to exaggerate, we find friends who let us borrow their camping water tank, they fill it with fresh water and off we go. We never give a thought to those who have a struggle every single day for fresh water, sometimes walking miles for water we would not wash our vehicle with! Last night there was a burst mains just along the road and we had no water until sometime in the wee small hours. I want to thank those who were responsible for repairing the mains and returning the water to our taps, I know you were still working at 9.20 in the evening (and later) to fix it. We take so much for granted and we rarely say Thank you, either to those who maintain the water supply or to God who provides. I am now saying thank you.
