We are in our Dance curriculum this week in Fitness Adventures and we are going to warm up by jumping to the beat of the music and using it as a dynamic stretch to get the blood pumping to our muscles. In the workout portion of class we are going to dance it out and make up our own moves in the Hula Hoops, move on to the stars and do the “Dizzy Izzy” spins, and crawl through the hoops or do the Limbo. After our workout we will cool down with some Yoga, where our pose of the week is the Star pose. In Dance Adventures this week we are having a year end review of all the things we have learned in class so far. Congratulations on having a successful and fun recital and a big thanks goes out to all who helped support all our little dancers. In Flippers we will be walking across the Balance Beam while kicking our feet out in front of us, doing our forward or backward rolls over the Octagon, and finish the circuit off with jumps off the Springboard onto the Popcorn mat. In Sports Adventures this week we are going to be playing Soccer. We will start off with our agility drill on the star and jump over it forwards, backwards, and side to side, and then running around it as fast as we can. Our Dribbling Drill for the week is the small square and we will use small touches to keep the ball within the boundary to work on ball control. Then we will move on to a passing drill with our friends and practice stopping the ball with our feet completely before passing it again. To finish off class we are practicing really LONG shots on goal with a goalie. Thanks for being a part of our program and remember... A HEALTHY TODAY IS A HEALTHY TOMORROW!
