We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2014 USET Semi-Annual Meeting in Bar Harbor, Maine. The Semi-Annual Meeting will be set in a different format from what you are use to seeing. To begin the meeting, a sunrise service to light a council fire, which will burn all week, and opening ceremonies (8AM) will take place Monday morning, June 2. The USET Board of Directors and the 12 committees will begin meeting at 10AM. Committees will finalize their business and meetings on Tuesday, June 3. The USET Board of Directors will complete its business by mid-day on June 4. During the week events surrounding the USET Semi-Annual Meeting include the following: Sunday - 9AM Golf Tournament 2:30 PM USDA roll out of the 2014 Farm Bill Monday - 8AM Opening Ceremonies Honoring Ceremony for Poarch Band of Creek Indian Buford Rolin Honoring Ceremony for Veterans Monday Night - 6PM -Wabanaki/USET Reception -Light the Night Ceremony -Honoring Ceremony for Tribal Women in Leadership Brenda Commander, Houlton Band of Maliseet Chief Terri Henry, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Tribal Council Chair Phyliss Anderson, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indian, Chief Tuesday 6:30AM Health Walk 8AM BIA Eastern Region Transportation Summit 6PM Lobster Bake - Steak and Lobstah Wednesday 8AM BIA Eastern Region Transportation Summit 1PM USDA/NRCS Working Effectively with Indian Country See you in Bar Harbor.
