We are very proud of our students! Dublin had 34 students (12 jh and 22 hs) competed with over 300 students at All-District Band auditions in Hamilton, Texas today. 9 junior high and 18 high school students will be performing next Saturday evening for the All-District Band Concert because of their great auditions today! Here are the students and what chair they made. Flute- Sydney Beck (1st) and Brianna Hatcher (2nd) Clarinet- Angel Gujardo (3rd), Vanesa Medrano (4th), Janna Kenkhuis (5th), Mitzi Corrales (9th), Austin DeLaVergne (15th), and Tania Gonzalez (16th). Alto Saxophone JH- Brent Stephen (2nd), Brianna Karasek (3rd), Angel Escobar (6th), and Lesly Sanchez (7th) Alto Saxophone HS- Jesus Velasco (1st) Baritone Saxophone JH- Cody Cook (1st) Baritone Saxophone HS- David Cox (1st) French Horn- Ruth Lopez (4th) and Dalia Felipe (5th) Trumpet JH- Blake Stephen (6th), Mystie Ancira (7th), and Hailey Blackwell (10th) Trumpet HS- Wade Fields (4th) Trombone JH- Miguel Felipe (8th) Trombone HS- Hailey Stephen (3rd) and Seth Warner (5th) Tuba- Travis Abels (1st) and Ozzy Kendall (2nd) Percussion- Tyler Smith (2nd) Others who competed today and we don’t want to forget were Desirae Diaz, Griselda Hernandez, Jacob Owen, Dinah Ybarra, Ana Martinez, Sunny Clark, and Sidney Tucker. 5 1st chairs, 18 students made top 5 chairs on their instrument. These students are working hard, definitely some State potential here! You all have what it takes, you must make the commitment and never quit. One month before All-Region!
