To: Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan National Chairperson LokSatta Family. My dear JP, I am very emotional, as today I have seen yet another though quite success for you in service of the Nation and Indian society. I am emotional as I have seen you now, over 14 years working with sense of purpose. Your ability, passion, patriotism, commitment, discipline and perseverance are a rare combination. I am truly privileged to be your comrade-in-arms. I not only wish to congratulate and thank you but salute to my General that after 14 years of your sincere effort that we may now finally have National Judicial Accountability Commission (NJAC) as 124th Amendment on NJAC has obtained President’s assent. This is a Great news on the eve of New Year!!! Time will prove that NJAC will bring quality and accountability to higher judiciary. Of-course a lot more needs to be done like Indian judicial Service (IJS), more courts & simpler procedures. Dr JP, you were and continues to be the heart, soul, and icon of Lok Satta. You personally embodies all that Lok Satta stands for – liberalism, honesty and rationality, long term strategic thinking, constructive engagement, the courage to shun short term populism and to stand by principles – the list is very long. While some of us may have felt strongly about the many gaps in governance and politics, Dr JP, you are the one who moved beyond drawing room discussions and crystallised the thinking in a formal structure, initially through Lok Satta Andolan, and then subsequently Lok Satta Party. Thus far, Dr JP, you have had to bear most of the effort of carrying the load of the entire family. It should be our guru dakshina to take some of the load off your shoulders and allow you not only the freedom to put your energies and time to optimum use for the benefit of the larger society and Nation, but also to see the flowering of the seed of Lok Satta Party that you have sowed and so carefully tended for all these years.
