We experience the greatest personal growth during times of adversity. Last night my 10 year old played his last of 8 games and we finished 0-8. Every team we played was older, bigger, faster and stronger but our boys left their hearts on the field each and every week. They got better and better as a team and their friendships strengthened. After the game last night when they walked off the field, most in tears, our parents cheered as if they had won the Super Bowl. We were so proud of their teamwork and the fact that they never quit giving it everything they had despite their losing record. Life is not about winning but about growing during the trials and times of adversity:)
