We had a lot of fun contributing to the outstanding camaraderie that has recently surrounded patients and families affected by ALS. We chose to film a somewhat comedic celebration of the good health that we enjoy every day, while keeping in mind that many of these luxuries aren’t experienced by patients suffering from ALS. ALS is a neurological degenerative disorder that first attacks muscles that control speech, swallowing, and breathing, eventually spreading to other muscles that make the human body move. Throughout the process, ALS spares the ability to sense pain and move one’s eyes. It is important to acknowledge that patients with ALS have no trouble feeling the pain the disease causes, but can only rely on the movements of their eyes to communicate that pain. Recently, a member of the HordoN HEALTH family, Chip Fanelli, was diagnosed with ALS. His son, one of BBI’s top athletes, Colin Fanelli has set up a fund to help the family deal with the cost of his disease. Please consider donating to the Fanelli family when making your Ice bucket challenge donation. The link is below. We stand in solidarity with Chip Fanelli, his family, and all others plagued by this horrible disease in confidence that all of this viral support of ALS research will bring us closer to understanding and eradicating ALS. gofundme/c8yyu4
