We have recently had a batch of reproduction driving light surrounds manufactured for the Peugeot 205GTI and after more than a year of development, are now able to offer them for sale here. The original part is notorious for rusting readily, and since they have been no longer available from Peugeot for some time now, finding new ones these days is extremely difficult. These are a straight copy of the original SIEM light surround in terms of dimensions, except that they are very slightly thicker, partly to aid manufacture, but also partly to make them more robust. They fit the lamps as perfectly as the originals. They are pressed and fabricated from mild steel and are subjected to a two-pack acid etch primer before being finished with black satin powder coat. This process is industry-proven in harsh climates and significantly increases the corrosion protection, and they will therefore last considerably longer than the to the originals.
