We have terribly sad news regarding Adam. He had to be put to sleep yesterday around 6pm as he was suddenly taken very ill. He was fine all day, then around 4 pm started showing colic symptoms but had a racing heart and was very pale amongst other things. After examination the vet said he had one of his entrapments of the gut but it was compressing blood vessels causing an arrhythmia of his heart. To let him go was the only option as he would have had a heart attack. Adam came to Rangers in March 1998, he was one of the boldest horses you’ll ever meet. He didn’t suffer fools and knew instantly who was wary of him which caused him great amusement! He was a total mummies boy with our head girl who has loved him to bits since the day he arrived. He loved cuddles, was strong willed, thrived on his work, you could take him anywhere on his own, as long as he had trust he would do anything asked of him. He hated the rain.. He was lead horse in our Musical Ride for many years, going to numerous shows, Parades and even an NFL game! He was a total lamb in the field, he got on with everyone but will be missed by his buddy Victor. We’ll miss you Adam… one of the best xxx
