We hear it all the time... Those rules applied to the people way back then, they dont apply to us now. We should all love each other and want to see everyone happy... thats more important now. Before we go and start accepting , condoning, and even approving sins, we really need to dig into the foundation that everything is built on... The Word of God. Yes, we should love each other. We need to love them enough to be able to get in their face and step on their toes when the life they are living is subjecting their future eternity to separation from God, especially if they (and the world) feel that they are justified to do what makes them happy, whatever that may be. Sin is fun, for a moment, or we wouldnt do it. But we are not to live for a moment, we are to live for an eternity. What was considered a sin 100, 500, or even 5000 years ago is still considered a sin today. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil? Numbers 23:19
