We need your help ASAP! I am the director of Pitiful Paws Rescue out of Huntington, WV. (We placed Daisy with Shelly Black a while back). We have been asked to help Sully, a 3-4 year old, Norwegian Elkhound that was recently adopted from a local very high kill shelter. Three days after he was adopted he got very sick and was taken to the vet by his new mom. That was when she learned that he is suffering from heart worm disease and he needs treated immediately. The owner was quoted $1700 to treat, but at our vet with our rescue discount we can treat him for between $800-$1,000. Due to several emergency medical cases that we have taken in recently, we are honestly not able to afford to treat him, but he desperately needs to be started on treatment as soon as possible otherwise she is going to take him back to the shelter and He will ultimately be euthanized. She loves Sully and she wants to keep him, but she doesnt want to watch him suffer. PLEASE if you can help...we are raising money to pay for his treatment.
