We played a team this aftenoon from Arlington Height near Chicago.. It was mostly a local high school team that had won in the morning in penalty kicks. Our girls were in high spirits and having geniune fun with Rich and Adam our guide. When the bell rang the girls came out hard and were fast and agressive. The presure yielded three first half goals. Anna again opened up the scoring with a perfect thru pass from Salma. The next goal came from Sarah on one of her patented rocket shots from the midfield. Last, Kailyn bent the ball from the left corner that was so well placed that it hit off the back of the head of the defender. With the other team deflated, Rich was able to switch around the line up and give everyone a long rest in preparation with for the quarter finals. The girls enjoyed the day and were hilarious on the bench and after the game. The team game is a a very high level as we move into the really difficult matches. I believe we play in the morning at 11:40 in a stadium field in the middle of town just down from the hotel. The semi is in the evening at 6p.
