We saw Willows orthopedic surgeon before Christmas to see how Willows hips ate doing after her procedure in September. It doesnt look like her left hip has migrated much since her last xray but the hip socket certainly isnt forming correctly, we are risking evaluating again in 6 months with a view to then going on a slow waiting list to have reconstructive hip surgery in a years time, or if it has got much worse then well go on the emergency list. The delay is because the bigger Willow can get and the further away from oxygen dependency she can get the better that surgery will be. There is only really one thing we can do to help delay this surgery and even that isnt a given, that is to get Willow standing more so for the next 6 months we are on Operation Get Willow Standing. We want to get private physio for her to fill in the gap where her nhs physio cannot fill and we are looking at different standing frames.
