We travelled to Flite Test to drum up more participation in the fight against the FAA. There will be a episode and a Podcast out very soon. In the meantime, please comment and get your family members, friends, and whoever else you can grab to sign the petition and cast a comment. COMMENT: regulations.gov/#!docketDetail;D=FAA-2014-0396 SIGN IT: change.org/petitions/the-united-states-federal-aviation-administration-rescind-your-latest-ruling-on-model-fpv-flying-and-the-personal-commercial-use-of-unmanned-aerial-vehicles?share_id=MkWVTNNzJt&utm_campaign=friend_inviter_chat&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition&utm_term=permissions_dialog_true It only takes 5 minutes. Heres what we came up with: ---- Dear FAA, model aviation has not caused any problems in the NAS so far. The AMA have had rules in place for safe operation. Despite the advances of technology, there is no need for this re-interpretation that was done in violation of standing law. It goes against the intent of congress and is almost impossible for any model aviation enthusiast to comply with. You are messing with an industry you dont understand, you are interfering with a hobby that is the favorite past time of over 100000 US citizens and you are needlessly criminalizing them and their activity. The end result of this re-interpretation will be less safety in the NAS (as everyone is being criminalized), an unmanageable overhead for your agency, and further delays in the long-awaited regulations as there are additional participants that will require regulation. Please get in touch with the AMA leadership and let them draft the rules and regulations, as was clearly dictated by congress. Let us fly FPV, charge for flights, collect prize money and promote our businesses flying FPV. Best regards, TBS Avionics
