We will call this one, DEADLY WORDS :) ~OMG..Cant WAIT to go to work today!! I stayed home yesterday to catch up on years of neglect in my beautiful home. I have been working so hard for so long I havent taken time to do things in my home, my helper Lisa wouldnt think of doing...So I have been on a spring cleaning binge, sprucing up all areas of my home has been so rewarding!! I just walk in to areas Ive done just to LOOK at them! lol...however I realized when...the Mr. came home what the hard working stay at home moms or home keepers go through!! OMG...my deepest condolences and Dear Lord how do you do it?? I used to write in some magazines about what it was like to be a Mom who worked outside the home, and how hard it is...but got a reminder yesterday of what my friends that work at home go though.. lol! So I got up early, started by tidying the entire out side of property, the Aviary etc, got everything out of the cabinets in master bath...PILES of things as I realized I may not need 17 bottles of shampoo etc...throw away and organized BAGS of things on the floor till my back was yelling at me...I went down stairs had Brighthouse here, the security camera guy, the pool guy, the workers etc....fortunately I, unlike most Moms had my assistant arrive and extra help...(making acknowledgement that this could have been MUCH more work with no help) so I tackled the office next pulling out THOUSANDS of items everything on the floor piled high and started over throwing things out and reorganizing files etc..it was hours and hours, trying to supervise and direct handy man etc in process...then went to Man Cave, my sons room and did the same...I stopped in the day and inhaled some food as I hadnt eaten and it was about 2pm...but kept going as I knew I would rarely have an at home day. Once we got it all together I thought YAY, I can rest for a while...But, UPS arrived with some new items I had bought for the house, pool umbrellas, rugs etc...so I went outside in the garage and opened them, broke down the boxes of some new office chairs I had PUT TOGETHER from a Million pcs!! Reading directions which I hate and screwing them together...after it all it was near 7pm..I went up stairs and laid down to rest before Steve came home:)..He was going to be SOOOOO happy when he saw our COMPLETELY redone office and all the other areas!! OH AND all his pictures were hung!! So...he comes home..gives me a hug and kiss...plops in his New office chair seemingly unaware of his spotless and organized new space and says, Im starving. Im like ok!! Im the stay at home lady!! I sprung into action tired as I was, put chicken in the oven, sweet potatoes and veggies etc...it will be ready in a few minutes I said (if I dont forget it and burn it) ...then he comes out...I see him taking a look at me up and down amused...I realize I must look totally disheveled and a mess after working in and out doors, the non matching track suit thing I threw on for a minute that morning and never stopped working with all the people there etc...(briefly stressed about how disappointed any of the workers where that Julie Weintraub looked like THAT!?) Then said who cares and I thought about making a joke and asking him if I looked pretty today:)...but I was actually too tired to talk...I asked him if he liked what I did to the office and he said, yes it looks nice, how long till dinner? I said, its almost ready lets sit down THEN he SAID IT!! HE SAID THOSE DEADLY WORDS THAT HAVE PERFECTLY GOOD HOME MAKERS RUNNING TO WORK OUTSIDE THE HOME LEAVING OUR HOMES IN SHAMBLES...He said, with what I detected a bit of resentment that I wasnt at work by his side today, he said So what did YOU do ALLLL day?!!!!!! I was yelled OMG! THIS is why I am glad I work out side the home....my work is acknowledged and appreciated, I look pretty while doing it!! I said, this crap is for the birds!!! lol...we laughed while I was secretly thankful the big silver gun he took a picture with last week wasnt near...(insert picture of angry wifes face with a smile on it) Steve asked me what I had going on today to see maybe if I could be home for part of the morning..I said HECK NO! Im getting out of this death trap!! This is why people get divorced, they dont understand what the other has been through all day...Steve and I work together and we have a pretty good Idea so that argument or lack of empathy on either end rarely happens...this must be fixed....until then Ill be AT GDS shaking hands and implementing policies!! Sheesh!!
