Weather Forecast for Kent – Saturday 19th July ’14. We are under a slack and very unstable southerly airflow. TODAY . . . The rest of this morning should go along on a rather cloudy note but some brightness can be expected here and there. There is also a small risk of an isolated shower popping up somewhere over the county. And then it looks like being generally rather wet with thundery-type showery rain breaking out across our region as we go into the afternoon, that’s where I cannot rule out the risk of a thunderstorm. However, it may try and brighten up again just as the sun is setting. Despite the increased cloud cover, it is still going to get warm with temperatures climbing up to 27 C (81 F) inland, the high humidity and slack winds will all conspire to make it feel very muggy and close. TONIGHT . . . Rather cloudy with patchy light rain. It may tend to get misty over high ground. Another very mild and clammy night with minimum temperatures hovering around 17 C (63 F) under calm winds. TOMORROW (Sunday) . . . Wet and overcast as further outbreaks of heavy thundery rain try to move in from France, there may be some bright spells by late afternoon, though. Still very much on the warm and muggy side at 25 C (77 F) inland, just a little less over Coastal areas at around 21 C (70 F). NEXT WEEK . . . Rather cloudy on Monday, then settling down and becoming dry with sunny spells for the rest of the week, as well as temperatures staying above average values.
