Webber’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes convened in the Babson - TopicsExpress

Webber’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes convened in the Babson Center on the evening of Tuesday, December 2nd. This was the first huddle after the Thanksgiving Break! Students and FCA leadership celebrated the life of Webber student, Jessica Costanzo. A slideshow of photos was shown as Junior, Luke Brigham softly played guitar and students reflected on memories of Jessica. FCA continues to pray for Jessica’s family during this difficult time. Coach Chuck Kelly introduced the Christmas story in the Bible. Students were able to follow along and read from the Book of Luke. Mrs. Leone will continue the Christmas story at the huddle on Tuesday, December 9th. Also, the huddle discussed this semester’s benevolence fund which is to send Bibles to a few current Webber students’ home countries, El Salvador, Columbia, and Venezuela. There are remote areas in these countries where the Bible is not made available so students wanted to focus on this project over the semester. Webber Students have raised over $300 and the Bibles are expected to be received before Christmas in these countries. The students will send hand written letters along with the Bibles which will be translated into the native language once reaching each country. The final FCA huddle for the semester will take place on Tuesday, December 9th in the Babson Center. It will be a bittersweet end to the semester as the group celebrates graduating seniors and the holiday season! Congratulations to all Webber December graduates! All Webber faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend at 8:00pm in the Babson Center.
