**Wedding Industry Alert** This is an alert for NORTH EAST brides and an appeal for information relating to wedding photography services purchased via Groupon. We are a group of wedding photographers and associated suppliers who network on a daily basis. It has come to our attention that a number of brides who purchased wedding photography via Groupon have been let down by their supplier. The scenarios given are usually that they are phoned a day before their wedding, or the morning of their wedding, to be informed that their photographer has had a car accident, is ill or has a serious family problem. Due to our members being repeatedly approached by distressed brides trying to secure the emergency replacement of a wedding photographer, it has come to light that the photographer involved is double booking clients. We believe the Groupon clients are being let down in favour of other clients who have paid a higher rate.
