Khenpo Jampa offers unique his unique insights with clarity and relevancy, he received a Degree of Acharya (equivalent to an M.A.) in Buddhist Philosophy in 2002 and was ordained as an Abbot in 2004. This three-part lecture given by Ven. Khen Rinpoche Jampa will introduce students to the physical aspects of Tibetan Tantric Yoga practice. As with the Indian Yogic and Chinese Taoist traditions, the Tibetan Vajrayana Yoga tradition maintains a comprehensive, cosmological anatomy, a deep understanding of the subtle aspects of the human body as a spiritual vessel. This is a tri-partite system, analogous to the chakra-nadi-prana system of India and the dantian-meridian-qi system; in Tibetan they are known as dza (channel), lung (wind), and triling (chakra). The practice of Tibetan Yoga makes use of meditation, visualization, and mantra to harness the power of the body in order to cultivate and perfect spiritual qualities for the benefit of all beings. This practice is the most efficient means by which we can purify our negative karmas and return to primordial Buddhahood. This course will provide an outline of the practice, its mechanisms and its benefits, providing students a solid foundation from which to pursue further studies.
