Wednesdays word: Matthew 14: 23-33. If we wait for all our fears to go away before we take steps, we will never make sufficient progress in our walk with Christ. Courage isnt the absence of fear. Courage mean that we take advantage of the little strength we find within ourself, that we find little ways to encourage ourself, and that we stubbornly stick to God program for us. Courage doesnt mean being free of fear. It means finding enough strength to take the next step. The disciples were terrified when they saw Jesus walked on water. Then Peter called to him, Lord, if its really you, tell me to come to you by walking on water. Peter gathered up enough courage to take one step and venture out into a new experience. When he got in over his head, he called out to Jesus and found the help he needed. We only need to summon the courage to take the next step. This doesnt mean that we wont be afraid or dont need help. It does mean that with God, we can make it!! All we need is the courage to take just one more step. Fear is the greatest tool the devil uses against us. Your life can be changed instantly if you shed your fear and start to really believe what the Word of God says concerning you. All things are possible for those who love the Lord. I challenge you on this day whatever you have in your life thats holding you back because of fear find the courage within you to allow God to lead you and He will guide your steps. God bless you.
