Should only need 1 more win to be guaranteed of playing finals and probably 2 wins to lock in a home final. A big game against 3rd placed Eltham looms this week. C Grade 7/253(cc) (A Manoilovski 82, J Vasilev 74, J Steele 64) def Plenty 173 (J Steele 4/16, A Brennan 4/38) Another good all round bowling performance sees us get the points and maintain top spot 5 points clear of Montmorency. Almost assured of a top 2 finish as are 15 points clear of 3rd and 4th place, one more win would seal this. E Grade 115 (J Griffin 41) and 2/16 def by Lower Eltham 5/333(cc) Another disappointing loss, after being 1/71 the whats now becoming standard batting collapse eventuated, losing 6/7 meant we were never a chance. Some more value needing to be put on wickets by the batsman for the remaining games this season needs to happen to ensure we dont get relegated. H Grade 220 (D Vasilev 46, H Carlsen 37, M Marshall 35) def by Eltham 3/308(cc) A bad loss in a game we were expected to win. Although Eltham did have a few ring ins in their side with the side we put on the park we shouldve won. Some poor bowling meant we were always going to be chasing a huge score. The loss of steady wickets throughout the innings proving too much in the end. Now sitting in third place and need to get back on track this week against North Eltham.
